Merging text and formula results

I have a formula that I want to append text to. The results will then
display the number from the formula and units in one filed on my report.

Use a text field.

If your formula is something like this:

[duration]*[number5]

and you want it to show "days" after it then simply modify the formula to
be:

[duration]*[number5] & " days"

It is preferred that the formula be self contained - that is don't make it
dependent on formulas in other fields.
