Message deleted when replying

I am using Outlook 2000 on XP - whenever I reply to a
message in my Inbox, the message is automatically
deleted. I have applied SP3 and it still happens.

Are you sure it's deleted? Sounds more like you may have a view on your
inbox that's showing you only unread mail. Go to view, current view, and see
what it's set for.
