Bill W.

I have Office XP installed and cannot enable "out of
office" for e-mail. Help state I require Micorsoft
Exchange. How or where do I get this?

Thanx, Bill

Microsoft Exchange is a mail server product. You can obtain it from
Microsoft, but you will need a server to run it on as well as Windows SErver
2000 or 2003. You would probably be better served using the Rules Wizard to
approximate the Out of Office functionality and leave Outlook on and
connected to the Internet.

Patricia is right, of course, but I would add that you may want to think
twice about whether you really want to do this. An Out-of-Office message
not only tells your friends and business partners that you are out of the
office but it also tells every spammer who finds you that your address is
legitimate and read. Chances are excellent that your volume of spam will
increase dramatically if you start acknowledging their messages
automatically like that.

Excellent point Ben, that's one of the reasons I almost never sent Out of
Office messages.
