Microsoft Outlook hourglasses

Hello,

On my Windows XP Professional I get my Microsoft Outlook 2003 with
hourglasses every time I do something with my e-mail.

When I send e-mail, when I'm about to receive e-mail, it shows an hourglass
for several seconds and after that everything gets ok. It's so annoying.

One thing, my Exchange Server 2000 is away on the other side of a 1 megabit
link in different domain, and I'm using a cached mode.

I had my logging enabled for a while, but it doesn't show anything useful.

Microsoft Antispyware Beta, Lavasoft Ad-Aware don't find anything. My
antivirus is updated.

Any clues for troubleshooting? Any other way of logging what my Outlook
does?

Regards,

I thought Exchange 2003 was required for cached mode.

Not really. Cached mode only needs Outlook 2003. However, yes, cached mode
works differently with Exchange 2000 - first you get oldest e-mails, and
then the latest. Only with Exchange 2003 it does it the right way - first
new e-mails and then old.
