Microsoft Photo Editor Problem

Once Photo Editor was installed, it changed the format so the only way I
could open a photo was through Photo Editor. When I took Photo Editor out, I
can no longer view and open my jpeg and gif images in the folders the way I
used to by the default setting in Windows '98. Now I have to choose a program
to open them with. How do I restore the default settings in the folders so I
can view and open my images as I did before?

This is not a Photo Editor newsgroup, it is a Publisher newsgroup.

If your system will handle it, I STRONGLY recommend upgrading to Windows
2000 SP3 or later or Windows XP or later. (NOT Windows ME.) Windows 98 is
disgustingly insecure online.

You can install the free IrfanView from www.irfanview.com to meet all your
image viewing needs.
