I can,t open some of my pictures. it is random. a small x comes up in a box

Thanks for answering my enquiry re Microsoft pictures. It is only certain
pictures that won't open. the size of the file has not changed they just come
up with a small x in the middle of the screen. I have tried changing them to
a power point file but this has not worked. All other files on comp are ok.
Is ther anything else I could try

That generally means that the picture isn't where the computer is being told
to look.

Let's take a step backwards. What are you doing when the pictures "won't
open"? Which program are you using?

What is the extension of the images? Right-click the picture, properties, opens
with...change. Usually there will be a suggested application.

You cannot change an image into a PowerPoint document?
