Microsoft Project 2000 upgrade installation

Paul Morin

I recently bought a new Dell notebook. I had Microsoft Project 2000
(upgrade) on my old notebook but when I went to install it on my new
computer, I get a message telling me I have no valid upgrade product on the
computer. I legally purchased the upgrade once. Am I now forced to
purchase a new version to use it on the new machine. Is there a way around
this.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi,

Install the original version of Project you had then the 2000 upgrade.
That's the same for most packages. The upgrade price gives you software that
updates the original, it's rarely a complete replacement. If you've lost the
original, contact your local Microsoft Office. If you registered the
original they can probably do something for you.
