Microsoft Project 2003: can sequential project numbers be enabled?

Can anyone tell me whether Project 2003 creates or can be enabled to create
dynamically assigned sequential Project Numbers or Project IDs?

And for that number to be displayed to Project 2003 and Project Web Access
users.

Want to use this instead of having to rely on Project Title.

Have Project 2003 + Project Web Access + Project Server

In the MSP_PROJECTS table, I believe the system automatically creates the
PROJ_ID number. In the MSP_WEB_PROJECTS table, I believe the system
automatically creates the WPROJ_ID number. Hope this helps.
