I have a laptop with Windows XP pre installed. NO installation disks were
apparently supplied.

I required Microsoft query to be installed and when going through the
process it asks for the CD for windows XP professional which i dont have.

Is there a workaround???

I did not know that Microsoft Query was included with Windows XP. In any
case look for an I386 folder on your hard drive {Perhaps C:\I386}. If your
OEM installed such a folder, it contains the installation files for your
pre-installed version of Windows XP. If you have such a folder, when asked
for the CD, browse to the I386 folder.
