Milestones - visulazing delays

Is it possible to visualize delays on milestones with constraints?

If I have a baseline plan with a milestone with a "must finish on" or
"finish on and before" constrains with constraint date eg 22.april.2006 - the
milestone "stops" at this date and I get a warning when activities linked to
this milestone have early finish later than 22.april.

Is it possible to visualize the delay for milestones with constraints in the
same way as Project does with milestones without constraints?

You can go into the Tools Options settings and turn off the check box for
"tasks always obey constraints" but unfortunately that is a global setting
and I strongly advise against doing that because it will also de-activate
the impact of other constraints that might be legit. What you are
encountering is a result of what is, IMHO, an improper use of constraints in
the first place. Constraints are not objectives, no matter how strongly
those objectives have been expressed. A constraint of "Must Finish On" does
NOT mean the task HAS TO finish on that dates because of a contract
requirement or the boss's mandate or some such, it means the task absolutely
and positively WILL finish on the date no matter what we do - it is engraved
in granite and nothing in the project schedule will affect it. Physical
events like solar eclipses have MFO constraints but not much else. What you
should be using instead is the Deadline field - it marks where you need to
have the task end and red-flags it if it's going to be late but does not
prevent Project from showing you where it's actually going to end up if you
work according the the plan you've built.
