minimising a ppt screen

How can I minimise a ppt show? I seem to have to esc the show and then have
to start the show again. Sorry if this is so simple.

It's not simple Marie!

If you tell us what version of PPT you have it will help. Also what exactly
you need to achieve - maybe look at another program and then resume the show?

In 2002 I think the only way is to hold down alt and press tab to get where
you need to be. Close or minimise to get back to the show. In later versions
ctrl T works better for me.

During a show you can press the Windows key to the left (and sometimes right)
of the Spacebar and select anything that is already open. Start Menu is also
available so you could open a new application too.

I should have added that when you minimize the app you opened your
presentation will still be in View Show mode so it's relatively seamless.
