missing audio on inserted movie

I made a file using WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER. It had several clips which i tied together with transitions. The the audio plays for the entire file when I open it with any of sevseral "player" programs. However, when I insert the movie file as a slide only one half of the audio plays using my desktop computer. When I insert the same file as a slide on my laptop the audio plays correctly. What changes do I make on the desktop so that it will recognize all of the audio?

Also try updating Direct X and Windows Media Player on the problem machine.
