Missing Fonts and Character Spacing in Office 2007

In my Office 2007 Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) only one or two
fonts actually show up in the drop down list.
In PowerPoint all the characters on a line show up one on top of another,
Increasing Character spacing to 500pts only moderately works in making the
text readable. I am using Win XP Pro SP2. I have run the diagnose, removed
and re-installed the programs and no change.

Thank You. I had seen responses to similar problems in posts affecting older
versions of Office, but since I was upgrading the PC from Office 2003 to
Office 2007 and the font issue was not occuring under Office 2003, I thought
there might be something else causing the issue under Office 2007.

The PC is a laptop my sales team uses and is not generall connected to our
network except for updating security patches and not used for printing. No
printers outside of a generice printer was installed. Once installed a
printer driver, it cleared up the issue.

You need to install a Windows-certified printer driver and set it as the
default. See http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00605.htm for instrux.

Glad to hear it worked. Thanks for letting us know.

FWIW, PPT 2007 relies even more heavily on these local printer drivers than
previous versions did, so it's probably even more important to install a
Windows-certified local printer driver on PPT 2007 systems than it was on
systems with previous versions.
