outlook 2000: Both at work and home, I will often get a
message with the graphic missing. All it has is a red box
with an x in the upper left corner. Any fix or answer?

It seems this question has been asked many times on this forum. However,
every time the answer is side stepped. I don't know why Microsoft (or anyone
else who knows the answer) doesn't post it here.

The most common answer is that the graphic is not embedded in the email and
you're not online so the picture can't be retrieved. Well, their not
listening. I'm always online and I have embedded the graphic in the email
myself. I can see the raw email sitting on the email server before I read
it. The image is in the email. Everyone else I send a copy of the email to
can see the image without being online. I have searched for hours for a
setting that may affect this with no luck. I'm beginning to believe it is a
"feature" of Outlook not to display these images.

Please, someone prove me wrong!

I'm on Outlook 2003.

There is a setting under Security that stops the download all of picture
files. You need to enale this feature by removing the checkmark.
