Missing menu

[Hitesh]

Can anyone help me. I use Word XP but something has happened to my PC. Now when ever I click on any of the toolbars, e.g. File, Edit, etc, the drop down list appears but its all ghosted i.e. it's like a gray shadow and I can't select any options

Have you activated Word?

Thanks for responding... yes Word is properly activated, we were using it fine for a few months then the worker concerned told me this is what is happening. I've tried reloading Office and Win XP Pro but that doesn't seem to have fixed it

You can use Word for quite a while without activating it, and Jean-Guy's
diagnosis coincided with mine, but if you are sure that it has been
