Missing Print Icon

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I tried to move the print icon and it disappeared. It no longer appears on my toolbars in word, but remains on the toolbars in Excel.
I tried view customize toolbars, commands, and the print icon is not there.
I can print with Control P and Print from the File menu.
How do I recover the icon?
Thanks,
Alan

Well, you were on the right track ‹ I don't know how you could miss it :)

In the Customize dialog select the File category from the left list, scroll
in the Commands list & you should find 2 Print commands. Note the
description at the bottom of the dialog so you can add the one you want (or
both) to the bar.

I am trying to insert a printer icon for a dymo printer on the Word menu bar so that it prints the highlighted part of a word doc directly from the label printer. Worked a treat in previous office but seems more complicated in 2008

I'm afraid there's little likelihood that we can help you here... It's up to
the developer of the tool to support whatever it is that they claim
compatibility with. The source *does* claim compatibility with 2008, right?

The reason I ask is that most utilities of that nature arte designed as
add-ins & most add-ins require VBA. There is no VBA or VBA support in Office
2008 so add-ins that worked with earlier versions are useless unless the
developer of that add-in has provided a compatible replacement.
