missing style checker

Even though I have checked the Check style box in Tools, Options and set the
office assistant to show tips about using features more effectively, my style
checker is still not working. Any ideas?

I think I found the problem. I was expecting it to check for sentence case on
the second level bullet items as well as the first. Apparently it does not.
When I change the first level to Title case the bulb appears.
