Missing "Tools/Spelling and Grammar" menu

Missing "Tools/Spelling and Grammar" menu. It is not there on Word 2004
(Mac OS X 10..5.4). Besides, "Option Command L" wich I used to invoke
it, now invokes the grammar correction (which I never ever use) instead
of the spelling correction (which I want to use all the time).
Amazingly, the "Word/Preferences/Spelling and Grammar/Custom
dictionary" is gray dimmed and cannot be selected! Any help most
appreciated. Thanks.

Fixed: Amazingly, it was because I had previously removed languages
that I do not use from

/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Shared Applications/Proofing Tools

Restoring such extra languages there fixed the issue. Is there a way to
remove such extra languages without such bad effect? Thanks.

Removing the languages from the folder won't remove them from the
listing in the Tools | Language dialog anyhow. Do you really desperately
need back the 110MB of space on your hard drive?

It is not because of the MB but because such a long list of languages
interferes with my work. As said before, I have to choose hundreds of
times English or Spanish from such a list. Is there then a way to
remove such extra languages showing on the "Tools/Language" menu?
Thanks.

The dialog lists a lot of languages that are NOT in the folder. I don't
think the content of the Tools | Language dialog is affected by which
languages are installed on the hard drive.

Answered elsewhere.
