Modify normal style?

P

Paul Kraemer

Hi,

I have used FP2000 to create a website. Most of the text
is done in the normal style, which looks like it is Arial
12. I'd like to change all instances of this style to
Times New Roman 10. Is this possible to change the style
so that all my 'normal' text on all my pages will change
automatically, or do I have to modify each piece of text
manually?

Thanks,
Paul

Remember, Paul, that we're talking about an HTML document here. Regardless
of what you see in the design view of FrontPage, any text thast doesn't
apply font attributes or style is going to show up in a browser as (almost
always) Times New Roman. That is the default font for almost all browsers.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your response. I originally created this
website using one of the built-in themes. Isn't there
something in the theme that controls what 'normal' text
looks like? I looked in the theme.css file that was
automatically created when I created my website. I
didn't see a section for 'normal'. I tried to change the
font associated with 'body', but doing this caused FP to
generate an error and shutdown.

I'm I trying to change the wrong thing?

Thanks again,
Paul

Themes do indeed control what the text in your pages looks like. More than
that, I can't tell you, as I've never used Themes.
