Mouse pointer changed from line to hand - why?

All of a sudden, the mouse pointer in my email message has changed from a
line (select text) to a hand. This is an outlook/email only problem, the
universal pointer setting remains unchanged. The pointer only changes to a
hand when in the email body, not in the header area.

Help please! Thank you.

Just read another post with a diff problem but I tried the suggestion (press
ESCAPE) and it worked!
