So what happens when you try?
Any error message? Account type? Outlook Version? OS?

The message is "that you don't have permission to create an entry in this
folder. Right click the folder and go to options ....."

When I do this I find I am listed as the "owner" but for some reason there
is a "Default" that is not allowed access When I try to remove the default,
it keeps coming back. Frustrating...

Are these folders within Outlook, or are they folders you have created
somewhere else?
And please tell us the version of Outlook, the type of email account, and
the version of Windows, as I requested. All that detail may be pertinent...

These are folders within my inbox in Outlook. I am using Wndows XP
professional and I don't understand your question re: my email account.
This has never happened before

Sounds like you have a corrupted Mail profile.
Create a new one in Control Panel-Mail-Show Profiles-Add and in the same
place,(Control Panel-Mail-Data Files) add the existing pst file to it.
See if that helps
