moving emails during find search

I have lots of emails in my inbox. I use to be able to
do finds (just the basic find) for key words and move
those items to appropriate sub-folders. Recently,
Outlook stopped letting me move the emails to the folders
once they were found by the find function. Instead I get
an error message "Can't move the items."

Any ideas on how to fix this? My inbox is filling up
fast and it will take too long to file emails one at a
time.

I'm using Outlook 2002 and Windows XP.
