Moving files

I recently installed XP pro on my laptop. I had a
partitioned HD and I ended up with a dual operating
system (win2k pro\XP pro). I had to start over with the
XP side of things as far as e-mail, internet favorites
and not being able to access much information on the
other side. I can still boot to both sides. I want to
move all of the sent mail and address book from the win
2k side to the XP side. When I try to copy or move or
send the old files I can't save them as or to anyplace I
can get to with my new side. I don't know If I am making
myself clear but I have a lot of history and information
I'd like to save and can't.
Any suggestions?
