To make the DB accessible from the root or any subweb, if your host support DSN, put the DB in their DB folder (and get a DSN
connection for it), then create a DSN link to it in FP
| Mike,
| Thanks so much for your help on this matter
|
| First of all I'm using FP2003
|
| I have a site working - where the access db is in folder _fpdb. What I
| would like to do is to have the database and asp code pages that update the
| database in a subweb. I'm able to move the folder into a subweb, but If try
| to verify the db connection from Tools>Site settings>database tab from the
| main website I get the error message that the file
| 'subwebfoldername/fpdb/dbname.mdb' referenced by this connection does not
| exist in the current web site.
|
| Would it be good to break a large website into many subwebs where one subweb
| hold the access database and the code to update the database?
|
