MS Access Forms

Hi

Is there a way I can get a form to "autocomplete" an entry based on
all previous entry for that field? In other words, if I have already
typed "southwest" for one entry and I want to type "southeast" for the
next entry, as I type south it will show "southwest" until I get to
the "e" in east, and if I hit enter before then it autocomplete typing
southwest. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks
Dave

One way is to have the list in a second table to pick from. see the
following in help.

Create a list of choices by using a list box or combo box.

Thanks, but that won't work for this application. See, this will be
for entering all new entries in. I want people to be able to see if
they are entering something that already exists in the table.

Hi Dave,

You may want to also post this in the MS Office Access discussion group and include when posting there the version of Access you're
using.
