MS document imaging icon disappears after SP2

I have Office 2003 standard on new Gateway Media Center 2005 PC. I purchased
the full version of Office and converted my trial to full version
successfully. After applying SP2, however, the icon for MS document imaging
that appeared with my printer is no longer there after SP2.

Do I need to run the Office repair? Is the icon suppose to be gone after
SP2? If I do run the repair do I need to reapply SP2 and other office
updates?

I did post same question in General Office questions. Sorry for double post
but I did not see this group when I first posted.

Hi Lori,

Running a repair/reinstall from the MS Office 2003 listing
in Add/Remove Programs but check first the feature set there
to see if the Office Document Image Writer is still set to
'run from my computer'.

When the MS Installer (MSI) installs patch updates to the
computer they are stored for 'reuse', so in normal circumstances,
the updates are reapplied during changes in feature sets or
in doing a repair/reinstall using the stored copy.

Thanks for the reply. I did the repair and icon has reappeared. I installed
front page as a stand alone product and it probably changed to load on first
use since I installed from CD where I just converted my trial Office 2003
version which was installed from hard drive.
