MS-DOS TEXT WITH LAYOUT

Cheryl

I am in the process of trying to convert a Word document (transcript) into an ASCII and then have it converted to an
E-transcript. Is "MS-DOS text with layout" the right option to save my Word document in or do I go to "Plain Text" and click on "US AScII"? I have tried "US ASCII" but the E-transcript does not print the right amount of lines or double space the document, so that makes me curious as to what" MS-DOS text with layout" is actually used for.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?Q2hlcnls?=,

is actually used for.It's not really used for much of anything, these days...
MS DOS with Layout will attempt to retain the page layout of the original file.
You'd get hard returns after every line of text, for example. This is probably
closer to what you need, but I'm skeptical whether you'd get the double spacing.
