MS Office 2003 Pro activation on rebuilt computer

Can anyone kindly let me know if MS Office 2003 Professional can be
reactivated on a machine that had its OS also reinstalled after an
irrecoverable crash?

The machine earlier was running Windows 2000 Professional. It was rebuilt
with Windows XP Professional. The original hardware has not been changed and
Windows itself already is activated and registered.

Will there be a problem in reactivating Office 2003, after the fresh
install, because of the change in OS, even though it is the identical
machine on which it was installed and activated and registered before?

Regards and thanks for any suggestion.

It should activate fine even if it is an OEM copy of Office. Worst
case is that you might need to use the phone method.

Thanks very much for the reassuring response.

That quite relieves us as we were not quite sure if the OS change would mean
a totally different computer!

Regards and thanks again.
