MS Office documents not lining up properly

When i try to open an Office document, when i view what document i want to
open, all the documents are messed up, not lined up properly, not in columns.
This is driving me crazy!!!! Please HELP.

Where are you seeing this, in the document,
in File Open, what version of which app?

If you're in Word are you in Print Layout view?

When selecting what drive and file i want to open out of Word XP in Office XP
File>Open>

Are you talking about a table in a Word document?

Please provide specific information.
