MS Outlokk lost my emails inbox/sent/contacts how to retrieve them

I recently had problems with my W2000 and had to reinstall it in a different directory. Now my emails, inbox/sent messages, can't be accessed nor my contacts

I know that my emails and contacts are in the hard drive because they were not erased nor the hard drive formatted but I just don't know how to retrieve them. Where are they

turn on searching hidden and system files in Windows search and then look
for a file with a .pst extension. Note the path when you find it. Then,
open Outlook and use File->Open->Personal Folders file and navigate to the
location and double click on the file.

They are in a folder with a ".PST" suffix. One folder holds everything
(mail, contacts, calendar, etc.), which is one of the things that I like
about Outlook. [Note, however, many people do have a separate "Personal
Address Book", which is a ".PAB" folder).

Do a search on your hard drive to find all of the .PST folders. By
default, it's "Outlook.PST", but it's possible to rename this. Also, by
default, I think it's in C:\Windows, but, again, these can be relocated
to any drive or folder (I keep mine in E:\My Documents\E-Mail so that
when I backup "My Documents" I've backed up my E-Mail).

Note, this applies ONLY to Outlook and not to Outlook Express, which
uses a totally different type of message store.
