D
Dasani
Dale and others,
Thanks for the advice.
I have a master plan (attached) that was created high level with about
500
tasks, 40 resources, varying dependicies. This plan was created months
ago. The project has started. Actuals have been sunk.
Now I need to create a detailed project plan that has detailed tasks
based
on 6 subprojects (or components). The 6 managers have created them
based on hours of actuals and ETC's and resouces in Excel. 1-2 have it
in project.
Tell me if fixed duration tasks is important since any mods to the
durations, dep, etc will change timeline otherwise. The model has to
be
effort driven and was based that way.
How do you think I should approach building this plan? ie. use current
plan, add resources and integrate files/new detailed tasks with
current plan?
How do I start this enormous effort and inputting this into MS Project
with
actuals and ETC's. I believe that you can input the actuals and etc's
without screwing up the date by using Tools / Level resources... /
Level only within available slack / Level now - do you agree?
Do you see a viable way of doing this?
Your advice would be appreciated on how to proceed.
