MS Project 2003 timescale problem

I change the default time to 6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week, and 20
days per month. Once this is done I create a new task. When I increment the
duration field at about 6 days, the calendar work days do not match the
number of days in the duration. How can I fix this?

You need to change the working time as well. Look at the FAQ item 5
http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm#Default Working Hours

We got non English MS Project versions installed and the default working
hours are 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 (meaning 7 hours a day, 35 a
week). Changing the working time is ok but I would like to change the default
working time in the Standard calendar (avoiding having all days with
"nondefault working time").

DragonHiss,
Since I first got involved with this issue on a post a couple of weeks
ago, I have found out a couple of interesting things. First, you and
another poster have confirmed that the default times are different for
different language versions of Project. Second, the default setting is
fixed, it cannot be changed and still remain as the "default". Third,
Project 98 used a different approach. With Project 98 the Change Working
Time submenu item has a "Use default" option and a "Nonworking time"
option but in place of the current "Non-default working time" that later
versions adopted, Project 98 simply has a "Working time" option.
Therefore when the working time is changed it is at least called
"working time". Perhaps that would be a little more palatable than
"non-deault working time". Why the developers decided to change it I
have no idea, but the change certainly does seem to rub some users the
wrong way.
