MS Project 2003: Why is BCWS and BCWP zero?

C

Carl

I put some hourly costs into my plan this morning, and the ACWP column is now
being calculated and contains appropriate values. The BCWP and BCWS columns
are all zero however, meaning I can't calculate schedule variance or SPI.
I've tried the help function and online help, but I can't figure out why my
schedule related costs fields all come out as zero, but my actual cost fields
come out as expected. Any ideas?

You have to save a baseline, and the baseline has to include costs. Now that
you have defined rates, you have cost data, but until you save a baseline,
that cost data won't be saved in the baseline and the BCWS and BCWP fields
will have no values.
