How do I format the left hand columns. Current view shows 1 line per 2
activities and no divide lines between task name durations and dates.

Hello IanP,

It sounds as though the table (left side) of the view has been
customized. Choose Format > Gridlines to open the Gridlines dialog box.
In the "Line to change" list, select Sheet Rows and/or Sheet Columns and
change the selections under "At interval." The usual format is set at
"None" which draws lines for each row and column.
