MSP 2007: Task Update Problem

S

STL Taher

I need the solution for the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: Task is allocating from MSP client and publish as well but some
users getting the task in My Task page in project portal and some users
getting the tasks in My Timesheet page rather then My Task page.

Scenario 2: Some time users are not getting their task wither in My Task
page nor in My Timesheet page, though the task has been successfuly publish
from the MSP client.

Scenario 3: Users are updating their effort in My Task pages. Some effort
(Actual working Hours) are scynchronizing with My timesheets and some are not.

Scenario 4: The users who don't get the task in My Task page but getting
task in My time sheets, they are openning the task in My Task view and trying
to save Working Hour, but an error message appear like "not sufficiant
permission in sharepoint server" though they are fully permitted.

Scenario 5: Some time user see an error message when try to open My Task
Page. Error message is " Unexpected error has occured".

Scenario 6: In My Task page some users are trying to import Tasks from My
Timesheets, but it doesn't work.

STL:

You've listed many different problems here, so I'll need to brief on each
one and then we can drill down as necessary:
Scenario 1: Task is allocating from MSP client and publish as well but
some
users getting the task in My Task page in project portal and some users
getting the tasks in My Timesheet page rather then My Task page.

What you get on your timesheet depends on how you generate it. As each user
must do this for him/herself, you may be seeing user inconsistency.
Scenario 2: Some time users are not getting their task wither in My Task
page nor in My Timesheet page, though the task has been successfuly
publish
from the MSP client.

On possibility here might be that the assignment owner is not correctly set.
This would cause the tasks to appear on the Project Manager's or someone
else's My Tasks or Timesheet page.
Scenario 3: Users are updating their effort in My Task pages. Some effort
(Actual working Hours) are scynchronizing with My timesheets and some are
not.

Only those tasks with an exact match will synchronize. Your users must
synchronize manually to make this feature work. Do all of your users know
how to do it?
Scenario 4: The users who don't get the task in My Task page but getting
task in My time sheets, they are openning the task in My Task view and
trying
to save Working Hour, but an error message appear like "not sufficiant
permission in sharepoint server" though they are fully permitted.

If they aren't getting it on the My Tasks page, how are they opening it on
the My Tasks page? Need more information to diagnose this problem Exact
steps are required.
Scenario 5: Some time user see an error message when try to open My Task
Page. Error message is " Unexpected error has occured".

This typically indicates assignment corruption. Many of us believe that
there is a bug that causes some of this, but the it can be caused by user
error as well. If you know the project that is the source of the problem,
you can save it to XML, delete from the server and import back to the server
to fix this problem.
Scenario 6: In My Task page some users are trying to import Tasks from My
Timesheets, but it doesn't work.

Are you talking about importing time? Again, you must have the identical
tasks represented on both to make this work.
