MSP 2007

Kim

I'm writing with an MSP 2007 question that I hope you can help us
solve... We are planning to upgrade from MSP 2003 to 2007 by the end
of the year, and we're also planning to stop using our MSP Project
Server.

With the Project Server, we sometimes use the Enterprise Global
Template to make changes to several plans at once. When we
decommission the Project Server, we know that the Enterprise Global
Template will no longer be available. However, we have heard that MSP
2007 does have a feature that allows you to make changes to multiple
plans at once (e.g., creating or editing a View & applying that View
to multiple plans at once, instead of having to create the same View
within each plan). Is this something you help me with?

Thanks,
Kimberly

You can't change data in multiple files, but you can create new Views that
format your data. Copy the new View to the Global.mpt file using Tools,
Organizer and the new View is available to all your projects.
