MSVCRT.DLL error after installing MS OFfice 2003. how to fix?

I just did a clean install of windows XP PRO SP1 with all the updates
and all was working fine. I could browse web sites etc. Then I
installed microsoft office 2003 with all the updates and now I am
having a problem going to web sites where I will go to a web site ..
IE www.phillynews.com and IE6 will crash with an error about
MSVCRT.DLL and I have to close IE.. if I uninstall OFfice 2003, the
problem goes away. what is causing this and how can I resolve it?
