multiple downloads of same email message

I'm baffled. Since I upgraded to Outlook 2003, I am getting multiple downloads of many of my email messages. I delete them and they pop up again the next time I access my ISP. This never happened before. My husband and I both have computers and both use the same ISP and same email addresses. We leave the messages on the server for 30 days. My husband is using an earlier version of Outlook and he never gets duplicate messages, so the problem is within Outlook 2003. How do I solve the problem?
