My Adelphia will not work in Outlook I get a SSL error, what do I.

I am trying to set my Adelphia account through outlook, and a military
account. I get a error saying Outlook could not logon to the outgoing mail
server (SMTP) for the Adelphia and I don't even know where to begin with a
..mil account.

You may want to check your firewall settings, both within Windows and also
within any internet security programs such as Norton. I had a problem where
I could not send or receive email but it was because I had a Norton firewall
set to ON. A friend then found a "Troubleshooter" program on the Norton
website for my very problem, and it reset whatever parameters needed changing
and now I can use the Norton firewall as ON and send/receive email. You may
also have such a problem. Also check your server settings that you typed in
to be sure you have them typed correctly. I would think that a .mil account
would work just like a .net account just with different letters to type for
server settings.
