My contacts don't come across

I am using outlook 2003 on XP Pro with Excahnge 2003. I add contacts to my
contact list but when I check for names the names aren't there. So I click on
the to box and there are no names in the contact list. Does anyone know what
could be wrong.

Are you adding these names to a Contacts Folder that you have enabled for
display in the Outlook Address Book?
