MY FILES WILL NOT OPEN

I am using office XP and cannot access any of my document files. When I click
on the document name it comes up that the file is not available. then when I
close word it says the file normal already exists do you want to replace
file . What is the problem ? Please Help.

Also, I cannot access any excel or powerpoint files. I am using Norton Anti
Virus corporate Edition and cannot find where to disable or delete the office
plug ins. Please Help. Thanks very much.

This is the PowerPoint newsgroup. In NAV locate the Options menu. I'm not
familiar with your version so can't give specific instructions. Under Option,
select Miscellaneous (it might be under "Other") and read through all of the
options there. I think you'll find the Office Plugin there.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me. Actually, after two days, I
found out that with my version of Norton, I had to rename "officeav.dll" to
"officeav.old". Now everything works. Funny how I JUST found this out about
3 seconds before your response. Anyway, I sure appreciate you getting back
to me.
