My graphics are not visible in Publisher or Word on my sceen

For some reason graphics have stopped being visible on my screen. I've
looked at all kinds of settings, but can't find anything that works. They
show up if I print to PDF and in the graphic manager if I preview the
graphic, but my screen is blank.
