My Outlook sending out emails to unknown recipients!

Tim

About a month ago I mistakenly opened an email attachment
(okay, stupid me!). My computer / Outlook began to send
out continuous emails to people I don't know. My "sent"
file did not indicate anything being sent. I finally was
able to stop the massive emails going out by doing
a "system restore" to a previous date on my computer. I
am still, however, receiving messages back from people
that I don't know - usually indicating that my message to
them was stopped by their antivirus program or something
similar.

Any clues as to how to stop my computer or Outlook from
continuing to send out unidentified emails? Help!

Hey, it happens. You need to update the dat files for
your antivirus software, and then run a full scan of your
pc to identify the worm/virus that is on it. Then go to
your antivirus providers web site and look for
instructions on how to remove it from your pc.

You're not going to be able to prevent the replies coming back to you, but
keep your Anti-Virus software up to date so this doesn't happen again.
