My Places bar disappeared in Excel 2003

Hi,
I had to reinstall my computer and in Excel 2003 (XP), when I click File
Open, I
don't have on the left side the bar with the five icons (My Favorites,
Desktop, ...).

I don't want to add a place to the bar, I found plenty of questions/answers
about
that. I want the entire bar to appear again.
