My wrapped text does not print.

Trevor

I have extended the row heights to view wrapped text but when I try to print
the view the text is truncated and so I lose some of the additional text.
How can I print the full text?

Trevor,
Is the text stream truncated at a line feed? If so, remove the line
feeds and the text should display and print ok, at least up the the 256
character limit.

Hope this helps.

a followup question...

How does one configure project to automatically adjust the height of rows to
display all text and text wrap? Is it possible to text wrap header column
text as well?

Hi Cindy,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You can't - Project allows you to choose which row to adjust. You can
change them all at once by selecting all the rows and then click and drag
one row boundary downwards. Project 2002 and 2003 does automatically adjust
and word wrap headings.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))

Thanks Mike. I do have Project 2003. Perhaps there is a configuration
setting I'm missing. I will check out the FAQs.

I also have a follow up Q.

If I want to retain the line feeds (large notes with loads of info and
subsequent updates etc) is there a way I can export that? I realise I can
print them to hard copy, but I have Team members globally, and for various
reasons they don't have Project. I'd dealy like to be able to send an e-copy
of what I am able to print, or to export the task list including the whole
note to excel.

are you able to help please?

Mongo,
As an alternative to Mike's suggestion, I have a couple of macros that
export Project Notes text to Excel. One is designed for notes with less
than 1024 characters in the text string. The other will handle more. If
you are interested, write me direct.
