Name of Sender has incorrect spelling in recipients email address

Sonia

Hi

I have just discovered that my email address comes up in the automated email
response for recipients with the incorrect spelling of of my business name,
that is, it shows as "Arafuria Conveyancing " instead of "Arafura
Conveyancing" eg
"<Arafuria Conveyancing>[email protected]>.

I have checked everywhere I have typed in Arafura to see if I have spelt it
wrong but it all appears to check out correctly. Why would it show
incorrectly on the recipient's email. How is that name generated and can I
fix the issue? As this is my business name, it looks very unprofessional.

Any help appreciated.

Sonia

How does the From field look in *your* copy in the Sent Items folder?
Does your copy of what you sent look correct or incorrect for the
spelling?

Probably, but I cannot find where I did that. The email account is correct,
the name in my address book is correct. Where else do I look?

You say that "the email account is correct" - did you also check the Reply
To field?

The only Reply To field I could find is where the signature is set up and
that was set at None. You might have to be more specific for this poor
newbie.

That was blank too. I have now filled it in. Anywhere else I could look?

Not at the moment. Remind me where you are seeing this incorrect spelling?

My sent items actually says Sonia Surname <[email protected]>
so I have absolutely no idea where this Arafuria comes fomr.

Yet you said that "somewhere" you saw the following:

<Arafuria Conveyancing>[email protected]>

One, that is not correct syntax. You should be seeing something like:

"Arafuria Conveyancing" <[email protected]>

So WHERE do you see this string? Do you even see it in Outlook? Or is
it just the recipient that sees it this way? Just WHO sees the wrong
string?

Just WHAT is the "automated e-mail response"? Is that a rule in
Outlook? Is that some auto-responder running on your mail server? Just
WHO is doing the "automation" and just what action does "automation" do?

Is this at work where your company uses Exchange as the mail server, or
are you sending your outbound e-mails using an SMTP mail server (which
isn't managed by your company)?

Do not specify a Reply To address unless you want people replying to a
DIFFERENT address than the account uses to send.
