Need Help Programing a Form w/Pearl

MarlonF

My web hosting company uses a Unix server that they say won't support FP Form
scripts, and that I would have to install the cgi script FormMail. I've
done
my best, but can't get it to work. RonX was kind enough to look at the page
on my site and tell me what was wrong:

"That page has 6 forms on it. 5 are FrontPage forms that require the server
extensions to work. None of these forms has a Submit button, so the contents
will never leave the page.

The 6th form uses formmail.pl as the form handler, has several hidden fields
depicting where the email goes (spammers paradise) , and location of the
confirmation page, but nothing for user input. This form also has a submit
button, so the empty content will be sent to the email address.

I suggest combining the forms into one, and making the combination use
formmail may give you better results.

FYI - If the host did support FP forms, and if the 5 forms had submit
buttons, they still would not work because the page was FTPd to the server."
------------------

The form will submit, email me, generate a database .csv file and
redirect the user. Hoever, the email and .csv file are always blank.

I would like to hire someone to get this feedback page working. The page
(and source) is located at www.dynamicsports.net/feedback.htm. Please
contact me via my web site. Thank you.

I've tried pearl scripts with FrontPage on a couple of occasions and came to
the conclusion that I'd try to use .asp or .php if I couldn't use .asp.

I'd suggest you find a better host. there are plenty of windows servers out
there (and UNIX with helpful administrators) that there's no reason to put
up with this type of thing.
