i am new to outlook and cant figure it out. I established my email account. I
set up one for my husband but do not know if it is done right. Also how do we
switch between email accounts for him to check his email without viewing
mine? How do I know if his is set up correctly?

How did you set up the mail accounts?

If you want separate mail files, you will need to use separate profiles. To
use profiles, go to Control Panel and click on the mail icon. Select
Profiles and name your profile with your name or preferred title. Set up
your mail account there. Be sure to check the box to Prompt for Profile.
Set up the spouse's mail account using the same option but their own
name/preferred title.

When you open Outlook under the one profile, it will pull mail from that
account. If you both are using the same account but different names, post
back for further instructions.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
