Need help with putting text in a shape

Greetings,

I am making an a4 flyer, i have used a background photo over which i have
placed a shape which i plan to type in. The problem is i need to rotate the
shape 90 degrees for what i want it to look like. Having rotated the shape i
type in it and the writing goes top to bottom (it too has been rotated) and i
want it to go left to right.

Imagine a piece of A4 paper, you write along the top and then twist the
paper right 90 degrees, thats how my text looks, and i want it left to right
with the shape staying where i put it.

Any ideas how i can change the text direction, i have looked everywhere and
im going to turn to drink if i cant find it :eek:p

Why not create a text box instead of trying to put text inside the shape? Give
the text box no wrap.

Hello Mary,

thanks for the reply but the shape im using is wavey on one side and i would
like to place the test into the shape and follow the pattern of the wave if
that makes any sense. Its really bugging me, i can write in the shape no
problem but i just can seem to change the direction of the text (

Gave this a try but still not been able to sort it out, sorry for being a
pain Mary :eek:p

Is it not possible to change the direction of text once it has been placed
within an autoshape?

Many thanks for your help and time though i really appreciate it.

Shame i cant show you exactly what i want im trying to do, knowing me i have
probably given a useless description!

You can send me your file or at least the shape and the text you are trying to
manipulate.
