Need new Key number

J

Jason

I lost my key number for Publisher 2000. Does anyone know
how I can get it back? I know when I lost my key code for
WinXP Pro I called a phone number and paid 10 bucks and
they gave me a new one. Is there a similar service for
this?

Thank you for your time.

Phone your local MS Support phone number for a new number.

I suggest you write the number on the CD with a fine felt tip pen.

While Aida32 gives out an impressive list of information about one's
computer, I don't see anything regarding MS Publisher 2000's Product
Key. (Original poster stated "Need new Key number" but me thinks he
meant the Product Key)

That's because, my dear Donald, you either need your spectacle prescription
strengthening, or you're running the Personal Edition. Either make an
appointment with your optician at the earliest opportunity - or go and
download the Enterprise Edition. ;o)

Hi Don,

Certainly did with mine as per above snipped from report (and X'd for
posting)
Is it just 2000 it won't work with?

According to the developer (a very nice Hungarian chap)...Donald is right
(which probably gives him the right to remind me of this ad nauseam) - the
latest version only works with XP and 2003 (both of which I have installed).
It does work with all versions of Windows, though.

One last thing, Bill, I find it very hard to talk seriously with a chap
going by the name of 'Sunray Bluebell' - would you care to enlighten me as
to the reasoning behind it? You a member of some hippy-style commune, or
something?! ;o)

LOL :)

It's my old military call sign, "Sunray" was the code for officer commanding
and "Bluebell" code for the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, a
maintenance arm of the UK Forces.

System no longer in use now though.

As long as you are legal with your copy of Publisher, you should have no
worries. Always make sure to register your products with Microsoft so that
you are entitled to the product key support should anything like this happen
again in the future.

Don,
Publisher 2000 comes up on Belarc as Office disk 2.
HTH. I had it as a stand alone too.

This seems to be a Publisher version issue. I have Publisher 2000 (stand
